Promoting inclusive video game design through psychological research

The growth of the gaming industry has led to fascinating research into player motivations, yet very little has been done to explore those of older adults. My Master’s thesis aimed to fill this gap by investigating the preferences and motivations of this demographic. The results were translated into actionable insights for game designers and developers.

A small project to sharpen my web development skills. I aimed to differentiate todoos from other similar projects by expressing character through the UI. It's a cute and colourful app, so that checking off those tasks feels a bit more fun.

In 2021, I obtained a Master's in Design Engineering at Imperial College London. I've selected some projects I completed during that time, both inside and outside of university. Some are related to digital product design, and others explore user-centred design principles through physical products.

I have 4+ years of experience in end-to-end design of both B2C and B2C responsive solutions.

2022 - Now

I own end-to-end design and act as a bridge between product, commercial, and engineering teams, ensuring business goals are met while championing inclusive design and accessibility compliance.

2020

I enabled the team to demonstrate feasibility to clients by developing simulations for three robotic logistics cell concepts. I also redesigned the core sales deck, driving client acquisition.

I have a background in user-centred design and engineering, and thrive in cross-functional environments.

2017 - 2021

My course followed a hands-on approach on the design process, user research, and user testing. My Master's thesis focused on promoting inclusive and accessible video game design.
