CONCEPT ART FOR AN UNTITLED GAME

A few small sketches inspired an exciting project last summer. With the help of some friends, it is taking shape and will turn into a videogame in the next few years.

I will be designing characters and environments, as well as working on UX/UI design. This will also be a great opportunity to learn about the software side of it.

Game development has been an interest of mine for years, and seeing this idea turn into something other people can enjoy and hopefully find meaningful would be a great achievement.

This page will be updated as the project advances.

MAIN CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

Sketches exploring clothing style. The first design is closer to what someone would wear today, while the second one strays a bit from current fashion to be more believable in the setting of the game (a few hundred years into the future).

Sketch of the final clothing design for the main character and the final design for her floaty companions, which will help her navigate the challenging environment that she has grown up in.

MAIN CHARACTER COLOURS

I recently began to explore the colours I would like to use in the main character’s clothing.

For this purpose, I tried different combinations of flat colours and finally decided to use a combination of blue and orange with black details, such as the gloves and straps used in different parts of her garments.

I also considered the environment the character will be exploring; mostly grey cities and green forests. I believe this combination of colours will make her stand out from the background and make her more visible for the player.

INITIAL SKETCHES

Some of the initial sketches that inspired the videogame idea, showing the first iterations of the main character and the floating gadgets that follow her around.

That's not allowed, sorry!
